Training Program
Squire Transportation is the training and finishing arm of Knight Transportation, helping recent CDL school graduates make the transition to driving on their own seemlessly and successfully.
Through the Squire program, we offer the opportunity for new drivers to protect their Commercial Drivers License in this critical time in their career by providing individual focus from experienced driver trainers, comprehensive education based on our experience dealing with new drivers, and real-world driving time out on the open road earning good money.
Above all else, as a part of our Squire program, you are a part of the Knight Transportation team, a Forbes Best Small Company for 15 years and recognized as one of the premier work places in all of trucking.
- Compensation? Plenty of miles, 401K, paid vacation, medical, dental, life insurance
- Teams? We do not drive teams. When student is driving the trainer is awake and training.
- Tuition Reimbursement? Up to $35 a week
- Quality Equipment? Peterbilt 387s and Volvo 670s
- No Contracts? Who needs them? NOT US!
- Real Training? Our program lasts 4-5 months, as there is no quick way of learning everything you need to know on a truck. We take our time to make sure you are the safest driver you can be. Your family (and ours) wouldn’t want it any other way.
- Trainees will be paid a base salary of $300 a week while they are with a trainer. (4-6 weeks)
- Squire offers a tuition reimbursement program of up to $35 a week
- The following is a breakdown of how we will pay our trainees once they become solo drivers. The drivers will have an opportunity move up to level 2 after 30 days or 10,000 miles, level 3 pay scale after 30 days or 20,000 miles.
